Calculates the arctangent of the value it is given. The returned value is in degrees.

Syntax[edit | edit source]

float Function atan(float afValue) native global

Parameters[edit | edit source]

afValue: The value to get the arctangent of.

Return Value[edit | edit source]

The arctangent of the passed-in value, in degrees.

Examples[edit | edit source]

float x = math.atan(0.0) ; x == 180
float y = math.atan(1.0) ; y == 45
