thanks dude[edit source]

Hey Cipscis, I just wanted to say thank you for one of the tutorials on your website that I found really helpful: the demonstration of adding a mod item into the mod user's inventory via the trick with run-once game-start quests. Before finding your site somehow, I searched EXHAUSTIVELY but wasn't able to find an easy and clean way to do it. (I later found ONE single reference on nexusforums and even that person alluded to your explanation I think.)

Anyway, it might be a good idea for that information to be integrated into this wiki somewhere easy to find because it's so incredibly essential for Papyrus novices and was pretty hard to find, at least for me. so ... thank you. :D Archerkb 21:33, 20 April 2012 (EDT)

Thank You[edit source]

Thank you Cipscis for your edits to the page I added!

Links to non-existing pages[edit source]

Hi Cipscis! I noticed you removed a link to a non-existing page (form). I think it's a good idea to preserve those.

  • It shows there's some information missing. Anyone who comes across such a link may know enough about the subject to add the page.
  • The page will show up in Special:WantedPages. Which is a great list to look through if you want to do some writing.
  • If the page is created it will immediately have links across the wiki.

Oh, thanks Qazaaq, I didn't realise that there was a Wanted Pages page! I'll definitely keep that in mind for the future. I think when it comes to wiki organisation I'm still a bit of a newbie :)

DA Image[edit source]

Ahh, yes, I figured such a thing would happen. Is there any way I can embed the file without uploading it here?

Darn. :( Thanks for letting me know.

Thanks for cleaning up after me![edit source]

Heh - looks like you noticed the edits I made yesterday. Obviously, I'm procrastinating from an impending work dealine, and editing with a focus on one of my big bugbears for programming docs: good interlinking of related topics and commands.

Thanks for cleaning up after all my errors! I've checked out your edits in the hopes to make fewer of them in future, and to keep my more consistent with the wiki style.

Do you know of a creationkit-specific "wiki style guide" page around here that I should have read? If not, I'll post any consistent style issues I spot to the Help:Wiki Editing Style Guide page. Like, "alias internal links in body text, but leave them bare in 'See Also:' sections". And "Mark areas which need work or clarification as incomplete." —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 20:14, 15 February 2012 (EST) (talkcontribs) Catwheezle

I think we're all procrastinating from something :P
The edits you made were very helpful, thanks a lot for making them. The changes I made were all little things, so don't worry too much. When it comes to link aliases in particular, the rule I follow is that if they're included directly as part of the prose then they should be aliased to fit, but if they're included in isolation (e.g. in a list) then the page title should be used.
I think that style guide looks like the best place for that sort of addition, although it seems fairly difficult to get to at the moment...

About Armor Addon[edit source]

I noticed that you reverted my changes in Armor Addon (and reverted it back), just wondering why.

Also, I'm thinking of adding this in First Person part:

"If you're creating a body armor, since in first person most of the armor is not visible, it's recommended to create a dedicated version of your armor consisting of only the arms visible to save resources. Gauntlets can be seen entirely in first person, so using the biped model is fine"

What do you think?

Sorry about that, it was a complete accident. I was just batch undoing a bunch of vandalism and accidentally clicked "rollback" next to your edit as well. I've since rolled back my rollback.
